Care of Scarves; Types of Silk

Each scarf has a subtle chop mark of authenticity. Unlike a label, this chop mark does not interfere with the wearing of the scarf. On some scarves, you won't see the mark until you hold it to the light or in a certain angle!

How to store my scarf? To preserve the beauty of your scarf, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing with items that might snag the delicate fabric.

How to wash the scarf? To maintain the vibrancy and quality of your scarf, I recommend gentle hand washing with mild detergent in cold water - preferably pH neutral. Avoid soaking and wringing. Gently press out excess water and lay the scarf flat to dry. It's OK to iron on a low to medium silk setting if needed, using a cloth as a barrier.

Can I iron my scarf?

Yes! The scarves went through a process using heat. Ironing will undo any creases.  It is fine to iron your scarf with some steam and a warm to hot iron, but start with a warm setting, then see if you need to go hotter. The hot setting on my iron works fine, but perhaps your iron's hot setting is hotter than mine.

Types of Silk Used in My Collections

📐 Please note, because of the hand-finished silk and the intricate eco-print process, there may be slight variations in size, because silk can be more or less stretchy.

The eco-printing on silks I practice reveals the clearest prints!

The silk types I use are:

Each type has a different quality: some are very lightweight like a breeze, some are heavier like the silk-wool. They are all hanb-finished.
